Objective: Enhance strategic depth and mission variety in expansions while preserving the core RTS gameplay that defined the original game.

  • Key Challenges:
    • Designing intuitive UI for new units and abilities without overwhelming players during high-stakes combat.
    • Creating mission content with dynamic objectives to increase replayability and narrative engagement.
  • My Role & Process:
    • Developed and tested UI wireframes for new feature sets (e.g., unit upgrades, campaign selection flow).
    • Worked with narrative and level designers to integrate storytelling into mission briefings and HUD elements.
    • Led user testing sessions, analyzing player behavior to fine-tune tutorials and in-game guidance systems.
  • Impact:
    • These expansions were highly rated by players and media (Metacritic 80+), with users praising UI clarity and the variety of strategic options. My contributions played a key role in extending the title's lifecycle by several years post-launch.

Unannounced AAA Action-RPG Title


Objective: Help define the core gameplay and user experience of a dark fantasy action-RPG in its early development phase.

  • Key Challenges:
    • Designing deep yet accessible systems (e.g., progression, loot, skill trees) that appealed to both casual and hardcore players.
    • Ensuring visual clarity and thematic consistency within a complex UI environment.
  • My Role & Process:
    • Created detailed UX flows and interface mockups for combat HUDs, inventory, and skill customization systems.
    • Collaborated across departments to establish visual language guidelines for UI in a dark, atmospheric setting.
    • Ran internal user testing to identify UX pain points and improve onboarding mechanics for early builds.

    • Helped set the foundation for core systems and a cohesive user experience. These designs were critical in gaining internal alignment and support from executive stakeholders during greenlight milestones.
